虚拟语气
非真实条件句的虚拟语气其动词的主要形式
例句：
1）If I were the major of Beijing, I would try to solve the problem of transportation. （对现在的假设）
如果我是北京市市长的话，我会努力解决交通问题。
2）If you had attended yesterday’s meeting, you would have known the result of election. （对过去的假设）
如果昨天你参加了那个会议，你就会知道选举的结果。
3）If he should have much money tomorrow, what might he do? （对将来的假设）
要是他明天有了大笔钱财，他将干什么？
2. 省掉if的倒装语序
如果非真实条件句中的谓语动词中含有were，had或should，则通过主谓倒装方式可以省略连词if,将were, had, should提到主语前。 例如:
1) If he should refuse to appear in court, he might be held guilty.
Should he refuse to appear …, he might be held guilty.
他如果拒不出庭，也许会被认为有罪。
2) If they were to miss the 10 o’clock train, they wouldn’t get there on time.
Were they to miss the 10 o’clock…, they wouldn’t get ...
要是他们赶不上10点的火车，他们就不会按时赶到那了。
3) If she had gone there alone, she would have been in trouble.
Had she gone there alone, she would have been in trouble.
要是她独自去哪的话，她就会遇到麻烦了。
